Chocolate & Candy Festival: A Family Event in Bel Air, Maryland

Valentine’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re breaking up with our sweets, chocolate and candy. To celebrate our favorite foods, we’ll be a part of the 12^th Annual Chocolate & Candy Festival at the Bel Air Armory on Saturday, March 2^nd from 10am-3pm.  Five dollars gets you in, plus four tickets so you can sample the decadent treats that look the best to you. We’ll be just one of the many lovely, local artisan chocolate and candy makers pulling out all the sweet stops, so swing by to get your sugar rush. Kids will delight, too: children under 6 get in free, and the Bel Air Athletic Club and APGFCU will be sponsoring a crafts and activities center in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Heart themes and love don’t disappear after Valentine’s Day, either: in anticipation of the Chocolate & Candy festival, the Bel Air Downtown Alliance has two other events up its sleeve set for Friday, February 22^nd: a movie night paired with a Chocolate & Art Walk.  A part of a public art project called, “Hearts of Harford,” the walk will include an unveiling of two new sculptures in the installation.  To top it off, the shops and boutiques will be open late, and participating businesses will feature local artists, and samples of sweets from nearby restaurants and Chocolate & Candy Festival vendors. The free movie, “The Lorax,” which will show at 6:00pm in the Armory, will likewise offer plenty of goodies at no charge.
