Valentine’s Day — the day of love. There’s so much love in the air this time of year. It’s no surprise people are overwhelmed with all the candy and chocolates they receive around this time. Valentine’s Day is over, but you might be left with sweet treats in your home and office. What are you supposed to do with it all? Here are some clever uses for your leftover Valentine’s Day candy that you’ll absolutely love.

Yummy Hot Chocolate

This is quite a simple and effective way to use your leftover Valentine’s Day chocolate. All you need to do is heat up some milk. Once the milk is nice and warm, simply drop a couple of pieces of chocolate into your warmed milk. Take some time to stir it in, so it melts completely. And voila, you have yourself some delicious hot cocoa.

Delicious Cookies

If you’re a fan of baking, use your leftover Valentine’s Day chocolate as a replacement for chocolate chips in cookies. You can simply add your chocolate to any sweet treat that could use an added touch.

Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate truffles are a wonderfully elegant little treat that can really work well with leftover Valentine’s Day chocolates. Chocolate truffles are a lot easier to make than people usually think. Most, if not all, recipes are just consisting of chocolate and some cream or possibly condensed milk. Add in a drop or two of vanilla, and all you have to do is roll them up in balls and refrigerate overnight. If you want to make fancier truffles, add some chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or even sprinkles. The world is your oyster.

Bottom Line

At the end of the day, enjoying Valentine’s Day chocolate after February 14 can definitely be done. There is absolutely no taboo associated with enjoying your Valentine’s Day candy after the day itself.
