As a parent, you should always be accompanying your child trick-or-treating. Take a look at these must-dos when it comes to your child’s Halloween candy:
- Inspect all of your child’s candy before allowing them to eat any.
- Only allow your child to eat wrapped candy. Do not accept any fruit, homemade items, or candy that has not been tightly wrapped by the candy company. Candies with twist-type wrappings are much easier to tamper with than other types of candy.
- Once the candy has been sorted through, limit your child’s candy consumption to only a few pieces at a time to prevent a stomach ache.
- When in doubt, throw it out! As a parent, you know when something just doesn’t seem quite right.
