Ordering and Shipping
Do you offer same-day shipping?
While we do our best to ship orders within 24 hours, we cannot guarantee same-day shipping.
When will my order be delivered?
We ship our packages using FedEx and United States Post Office (USPS). We do our best to ship all orders within 24 hours. At times (specifically Fridays and Saturdays) we may hold a package until Monday to prevent it from sitting over the weekend at a USPS facility.
- Ground Advantage™ takes approximately 3-6 business days (plus 1-2 business days for processing) (Monday through Saturday delivery)
- FedEx Ground takes approximately 1-5 business days (plus 1-2 business days for processing) (Monday through Friday delivery)
- FedEx Express takes 1-2 business days (plus 1-2 business days for processing) (Monday through Saturday)
APO/FPO: We will ship to military addresses (APO/FPO) but USPS cannot guarantee a specific arrival date hence they are not guaranteed against melting. When shipping to military addresses we recommend non-chocolate items.
Please provide a shipping address where someone can receive the order. Packages containing chocolate may melt in warm weather if left outside for even a short time.
Please also double-check your shipping addresses. Incorrect addresses may delay delivery, and your order may be subject to additional charges for address correction or forwarding.
Can I place an order to be shipped outside of the United States?
Due to the perishability of our product, we do not ship outside the United States.
Do you ship chocolate during warm weather or to warmer parts of the country like Florida and California?
Yes, we absolutely can ship Wockenfuss Candies during warm weather and to warm climates in the U.S. all year long. From May through September, all chocolate orders are automatically upgraded to cold pack shipping. During cooler months, we offer cold pack shipping as an option online if you are shipping to a warm weather destination. We recommend purchasing a cold pack if the destination has temperatures above 72 degrees.
Can I ship to a P.O. Box or an APO/FPO Address?
Yes, we accept orders to P.O. Box and to APO/FPO addresses. Please call to place these orders.
What shipping carriers do you use?
We currently offer shipping via FedEx and USPS.
Can I use my own Federal Express Number to ship my order?
We are currently unable to charge shipments to FedEx account numbers.
Can I order a box of all the same kind or select the pieces I want in the box?
Yes, we offer boxes of all one variety under Hand-Packed Top Sellers or you may create your own selection under our Custom Assortment option.
Can you hold my order for a future date?
Yes, we can hold your order for a future ship date. During checkout, after you select the method of shipping, you may choose the “Shipping Date / Pick-up Date” option, and specify a future ship date. Please keep in mind this is the date it will leave our facility, not a delivery date.
Can I ship to more than one person on one order?
Yes, you can ship to multiple addresses in a single order.
Why did I get charged tax?
Wockenfuss Candies is subject to tax on internet/mail order purchases in any state where we have a store location. The state of Maryland requires that we charge tax on the shipping charges as well. All of these charges are controlled by the state to which we are shipping your purchase, not the state of the purchaser.
Order Tracking
Will I receive an order confirmation?
If you place an order online or over the phone and provide your email address, an order receipt will be sent immediately after placing your order. This email will include your order number, order total, and optional gift message. Please review this information as soon as possible to ensure all items are correct. If you need to make any changes to your order, contact Customer Service at info@wockenfusscandies.com or 1-800-296-4414.
Will I receive a shipping confirmation?
When your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation including the tracking number for each shipment. Please note that this confirmation is typically emailed at 5pm EST on the day it is shipped.
Can I create an account after I start placing my order?
Yes. After your order is completed, you will be asked if you would like to create an account; this will make ordering easier for you in the future.
Care and Storage
How long will Wockenfuss chocolates keep their fresh taste?
Wockenfuss chocolates will best maintain freshness after opening if stored in a dark place and at temperatures that do not exceed 68°F. Avoid heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. Chocolates will remain fresh for 2-3 weeks after opening if the box is closed and kept away from strong odors.
Should I store Wockenfuss chocolates in the refrigerator or freezer?
We do not recommend putting your chocolate in the refrigerator or freezer. Extreme cold temperatures can result in “sweating” of the candy, which creates a thin, wet layer and a white color when brought to room temperature. Chocolate also picks up odors of food around it which will alter the flavor.
Allergy Information
Does your chocolate contain dairy products?
All of our dark, milk, and white chocolate may contain dairy or milk products. Any person with a dairy allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products.
Does your chocolate contain nuts?
All of our products may contain tree nuts and/or peanuts. Even products without nuts in the ingredient list are manufactured on the same equipment as other peanut and tree nut candies, resulting in the possibility of cross-contamination. Any person with a nut allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products.
Does your chocolate contain gluten?
All of our cupped chocolates may contain gluten, as they share equipment with our chocolate covered wheat pretzels.
Many of our products also contain soy and eggs. All of our products are manufactured on the same equipment as these products and therefore present the possibility of cross-contamination.
General Questions
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We email coupons throughout the year. Please sign-up (include link) online or in-store. For orders exceeding 75 pounds, we offer a discount of 5% to 20%. Discounts are calculated on candy totals only and exclude charges for shipping and custom-printed boxes. To place a discounted order, please call Customer Service at 1-800-296-4414.
Do you make your own candy?
We manufacture the majority of our candies, with the exception of gummies, licorice, hard candy, and some holiday items.
Where is your candy manufactured?
Our candy has been manufactured in Baltimore City since 1915. While originally on Belair Road in Gardenville, we opened a larger and more efficient manufacturing facility at 6831 Harford Road in November of 2011.
Do you offer tours?
Due to COVID-19, we will not be offering any tours in the foreseeable future. We feel it is not a safe time to be having non-essential people into our manufacturing facility.
What is your policy on donation requests?
Wockenfuss Candies welcomes requests for support within the guidelines set forth. At this time, we are unable to grant requests for sponsorship. Requests must be submitted in writing and should include the following information:
- A brief description of the event for which the donation is requested
- Date and location of the event
- Mailing address to receive donations
- Proof of registered 501(c)(3) non-profit status

Donation requests are reviewed on the fifteenth of the month for events in the following month. To allow enough time for your request to be reviewed, please submit it to us no later than the fifteenth of the month preceding the date of your event. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to telephone follow-ups.
What sweetener is used the Sugar Free Chocolate?
The sweetener used in our sugar free line is maltitol, the only sugar replacement that consistently produces high-quality chocolate. Maltitol has minimal negative aftertaste, unlike other sugar replacements.
Do you accept returns?
Within 30 days of purchase, you may return a gift item to any location with a receipt. Candy is not returnable. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of your candy, please email info@wockenfusscandies.com for a replacement.
How can I apply for a job?
Each location does its own hiring. To apply at a specific location, please contact the store manager to inquire about their current hiring status and to schedule an interview. Visit our website to view a list of locations’ phone numbers.
Wedding and Party Favors
How far in advance should I place my favor order?
We recommend that you place your order about 3 to 4 weeks before the event. We can store your favors up to the day of your event.
What customization or personalization options are available?
We offer custom printing for no additional charge on boxes and bags. Buy as few as 50 gifts (to be personalized) for as little as $2.50 each. Learn more about our Personalizing Program online.
Do you offer volume discounts?

Corporate Orders
How far in advance should I place my corporate order?
Orders over 50 pounds should be placed 2 weeks before it is needed. Other orders will require 1-2 business days for processing.
What customization or personalization options are available?
We offer custom printing on boxes and bags when buying a minimum of 50 gifts (to be personalized). To incorporate a custom logo, there is a $50.00 design fee. Learn more about our Personalizing Program online.
Do you offer corporate discounts?

Will you deliver my order for me?
Yes. You may email your Excel file of addresses and we will package, wrap, and ship your candy order anywhere in the United States.
